CVE-2006-6641

Unspecified vulnerability in CA CleverPath Portal before maintenance version 4.71.001_179_060830, as used in multiple products including BrightStor Portal r11.1, CleverPath Aion BPM r10 through r10.2, eTrust Security Command Center r1 and r8, and Unicenter, does not properly handle when multiple Portal servers are started at the same time and share the same data store, which might cause a Portal user to inherit the session and credentials of a user who is on another Portal server.

Security Impact Summary

CVE-2006-6641 is a security vulnerability that . Impacting 11 products from arcserve, from broadcom, from cleverpath and 8 others, organizations running these solutions should prioritize assessment and patching.

Historical Context

Originally identified in 2006, this vulnerability predates many modern security frameworks and practices. The vulnerability landscape of that era was characterized by different threat models and less mature defense mechanisms compared to contemporary standards.

How SecUtils Interprets This CVE

SecUtils normalizes and enriches National Vulnerability Database (NVD) records by standardizing vendor and product identifiers, aggregating vulnerability metadata from both NVD and MITRE sources, and providing structured context for security teams. For arcserve's affected products, we extract Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) data, Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) classifications, CVSS severity metrics, and reference data to enable rapid vulnerability prioritization and asset correlation. This record contains no exploit code, proof-of-concept instructions, or attack methodologies—only defensive intelligence necessary for patch management, risk assessment, and security operations.
