Null Pointer Dereference vulnerability exists in D-Link DAP-2310 2.07.RC031, DAP-2330 1.07.RC028, DAP-2360 2.07.RC043, DAP-2553 3.06.RC027, DAP-2660 1.13.RC074, DAP-2690 3.16.RC100, DAP-2695 1.17.RC063, DAP-3320 1.01.RC014 and DAP-3662 1.01.RC022 in the upload_certificate function of sbin/httpd binary. When the binary handle the specific HTTP GET request, the strrchr in the upload_certificate function would take NULL as first argument, and incur the NULL pointer dereference vulnerability.
This vulnerability carries a HIGH severity rating with a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.5, indicating it can be exploited remotely over the network with relatively low complexity without requiring user interaction and does not require pre-existing privileges . The vulnerability impacts and availability (service disruption) for affected systems. Impacting 18 products from dlink, from dlink, from dlink and 15 others, organizations running these solutions should prioritize assessment and patching.
Reported in 2021, this vulnerability emerged during an era marked by increased sophistication in supply chain attacks, cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) security challenges. Security practices during this period emphasized zero-trust architectures, container security, and API protection.

SecUtils normalizes and enriches National Vulnerability Database (NVD) records by standardizing vendor and product identifiers, aggregating vulnerability metadata from both NVD and MITRE sources, and providing structured context for security teams. For dlink's affected products, we extract Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) data, Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) classifications, CVSS severity metrics, and reference data to enable rapid vulnerability prioritization and asset correlation. This record contains no exploit code, proof-of-concept instructions, or attack methodologies—only defensive intelligence necessary for patch management, risk assessment, and security operations.
